It was tempting to simply call this webinar ‘Legionella and Lockdown’ , however the risk of Legionnaires’ Disease won’t disappear when life gets back to the ‘new’ normal.

Having said that, as part of his presentation Industrial Microbiologist Pat McDonald will certainly cover the issues that have arisen with lockdown/reduced building occupancy during the pandemic.
Where the regulations differ in both jurisdictions the speakers will mention this.

Speaker Bios

Pat McDonald

is an Industrial Microbiologist and Director of HBE & Bluezone Technologies and will lead the NI Safety Group/NISO Webinar panel. As the founder of HBE & Bluezone Technologies, he is zealous about the importance of Legionella Control and overall compliance in the built environment.
Pat is passionate about implementing industry research and development combined with emerging technologies in order to bring about better Legionella Control management.
With over 25 years working in the environmental services sector he has worked with HSE, Pharma, Manufacturing, Education and Local authorities and provides guidance to the Consulting Engineers in Ireland.

Seamus McKeown

is the group water technical manager for HBE. He is from an Environmental Science background and brings over 20 years' experience in the UK and Ireland market place in the management of Water Hygiene and Water Treatment programmes.
He is a full member of the Water Management Society having undertaking many of their courses such as Cooling Tower Management and Advanced Legionella Risk Assessments.
His experience in the management of complex water systems, staff development and consultancy is critical to the compliance of the HBE client base.

David Sharkey

is IT Operations Manager at HBE and brings over 15 years IT management experience from Oracle and Musgrave where he has worked on large IT installations & supported rollouts including Internet of Things (IoT) technologies.
David heads up a team of knowledgeable HBE24 engineers who install and monitor the network and is on the webinar to answer any technical IT questions.
