COVID-19 Update

Following our classification as an essential services provider, HBE is open for business, but not quite as usual. We are making the health, safety and well-being of our staff of paramount importance as well as managing the risks to our customers, their staff, building users and tenants when undertaking our works.

Many of our office-based staff are working from home and our Field Teams are attending site visits as normal, but of course using social distancing, increased hygiene procedures and following the site-specific guidelines.

The current industry advice is:

  • Follow the Government and Healthcare guidance for the protection of all your staff, customers, tenants, visitors and other stakeholders.
  • Maintain compliance for Evaporative Cooling systems and Water Treatment systems or switch them off. It is important to note that any systems which are switched off are likely to require pre-commission works before being brought into operation again.
  • Be proactive now to save potentially costly and time consuming re-commissioning works for mothballed buildings. At a minimum, implement a flushing regime in any empty or under-occupied buildings and maintain compliance records of ALL actions taken during this period, including the inability to access locations.

If you have any questions about proactive management of your water systems, please contact us on 0333 207 5744 / 1890 201018 from Ireland or contract us here.
