UK Health & Safety Reporting changes come into effect

The Reporting of Injuries, Diseases and Dangerous Occurrences Regulations (RIDDOR) 1995 in the UK has been amended from 6th April 2012, so that the required period of incapacitation following an injury caused by an accident at work (where the employer is requirement to report the accident) will increase from three days plus to more than seven.

In addition, the deadline by which the employer must report the accident will also increase from 10 days to 15.
