The PGA have announced that the HBE PGA Ulster Championship Pro-Am 2013 is a sell out.

Last year’s PGA tournament winner Nial Kearney will be joined in the field by European Tour player Damien McGrane and former British Amateur Champion, Brian McElhinney, who has been performing well on the Irish PGA circuit in recent months.

Irish PGA Secretary Michael McCumiskey said; “We have had two really fantastic events at Templepatrick back in 2011 and 2012 and we are again looking to repeat the past success in 2013. The event depends on the support from members and local club golfers and the course is in pristine condition.”

Paula Collins the Hotel Manager, also stated that she was delighted to welcome back the PGA Professionals to Templepatrick for a third successive year.

“The golf course is now 15 years old and continues to mature providing a real test for golfers of all abilities,” said Paula. “I’m sure that all the professionals and amateur competitors in the Pro-Am preceding the event will be pleasantly surprised as to how the course has toughened up and become more defined. Michael Loughran and his green keeping staff have worked tirelessly to prepare for this and all other events during the season.”

Adrian Byrne, managing director at HBE commented, “HBE are delighted to be sponsoring this prestigious event in the golfing calendar. Golf is close to my heart, as many an Irish man will say, and I’m pleased to support the PGA and the Hilton Templepatrick during this tournament.”

The full complement of 32 teams will be teeing off at 12 noon for what is sure to be a highly competitive Pro-Am tournament.
